Why doesn't just chanting positive affirmations produce satisfying results?


A number of people feel frustrated because they consciously know how things should be in their lives, while reality isn't lining up with what they know.


When we are in our normal waking state of mind, just thinking positively and stating affirmations might not actually produce the results we're hoping for. This is because the conscious mind only governs 5% of our experience. Consciously, we're aware of how things should be.


The subconscious mind controls 95% of our experience because it's where all of our beliefs, emotions, and self thoughts are stored and it is also the Great Doer, the part of us that acts. If we don't address the subconscious programming that's running, whether or not we're conscious of it, we may never get the results we're looking for.


This is where hypnotherapy comes in. Hypnosis opens the communication between the conscious and subconscious mind. Hypnotherapy quiets the gate keeper to the subconscious, so that you can delete outdated programming that has been holding you back, while add the programming that would support you in reaching your goals.


Have you ever been thinking positive thoughts and then had a thought or feeling of disbelief/doubt interrupt your repetition? That's the gate keeper, showing you that there is a limiting belief held by the subconscious. As long as the limiting belief is in place, the conscious thought will not be allowed to pass by the gate keeper, to enter the subconscious. Therefore, the positive affirmation will not be integrated, without doing the healing work first.
